Nanoscribe presents successor model Photonic Professional GT2 for high-resolution 3D microfabrication
With the successor model Photonic Professional GT2, Nanoscribe, the world's leading manufacturer of 3D printers for microfabrication, offers new solutions for additive manufacturing and maskless lithography.
Scientists at the National University of Science and Technology MISiS (NITU MISiS) explore additive manufacturing of aircraft parts designed with the help of topological optimization algorithms. Experimental jet engine brackets are 3D printed from locally made titanium alloy powders with 20 percent weight reduction compared to traditional designs.
Specialists at the Federal Center of Neurosurgery in Novosibirsk, Russia, conducted a unique operation on a patient with a rare and little-understood condition called Gorham’s vanishing bone disease. Surgical training before the difficult procedure was carried out on 3D printed mock-ups.
SHINING 3D, the industry leader in 3D digitizing and 3D printing technologies since 2004, is releasing the next generation of multifunctional handheld 3D scanners, the new EinScan Pro 2X & 2X Plus. In combination with a fresh new software, ExScan Pro, design tool Solid Edge SHINING 3D Edition and 3D printers, SHINING 3D demonstrates once again seamless solutions to include “3D scan – design & simulation – additive manufacturing”.
Today I’d like to talk about G-Code. There are a number of simple commands to help a user with 3D printer calibration and operation. The commands below are meant for Marlin, but may work with other firmware as well.
Simplify3D announced the latest version of their professional 3D printing software, with intelligent tools that streamline the printing process and new options that provide users with greater control over their prints.
GE Additive and GE Aviation have announced that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has given ‘change in design’ approval to replace a conventionally manufactured power door opening system (PDOS) bracket, used on GE Aviation’s GEnx-2B commercial airline engines that power the Boeing 747-8, with an additively manufactured bracket.
